Nintendo Switch Lite - Picofly Modding Services

Ship us your Switch Lite for Picofly modding!

Sagebrush Repair will disassemble your Nintendo Switch Lite and install the Picofly RP2040 Modchip*.

  • Purchase this service and then ship your Switch Lite using your preferred provider.
  • The modification is delicate to install, but quite robust once completed. We only use the "Kamikaze" method, the highest quality hardmod technique.
  • You will have effectively two Switch Lites: your original console as you shipped it, and a clone that's fully unlocked.
  • We use Picofly with the RP2040 Raspberry Pi chip.  This site has more information for what this mod unlocks.
  • In most cases, your Switch Lite will be shipped back to you via USPS free of charge, after about a day or two.
  • A hardmodded Switch Lite Requires a microSD card.  You may include yours or purchase one of ours.

Options

      Joycon upgrade or repair

  • Choose the option to upgrade the joysticks to tech from this century. TMR is a newer tech that won't and can't drift off center.  We use Guilikit TMR joysticks (manufactured by K-Silver) that perform great and have extended lifespans/swappable colored thumbpads. NOTE: They feel a liiiitle bit different, but the circularity is spot-on, and you can set the deadzone to NOTHING AT ALL.

Add on a microSD Card (Includes H.A.T.S.)

  • Once again, hardmodded Switches REQUIRE a microSD card to function at all. MicroSD card speeds of 130MB/S is ideal, being slightly faster than the Switch's physical slot can do.  We offer a selection of microSD Card sizes and speeds to choose from.

FAQ

  • Q: Can I send my own SD card?    A: Yes please! Include it in the slot. At least 128GB is recommended.
  • Q: Will i lose any games or saves?   A: No, in fact you will now have the ability to duplicate, edit, and backup your saves forever using JKSV.
  • Q: How long does it take? A: One or two days. And then it goes back in the mail to your address.
  • Q: How can I trust you?  A: Jon says "I've been doing microsoldering for about 15 years. I run my business focused on quality soldering. I'm almost as good at this stuff as Master Liu"

* This voids any Nintendo warranty the console may still have.

Understood, please mod my Switch Lite

Additional Services

Guilikit TMR Joysticks

Fix or avoid stick drift by upgrading to a TMR style joystick pair.  These sticks feature removable caps, silicone joint protectors, and extended lifespans compared to the original friction based potentiometer tech from the 1940's.

Shell Swap

Pretty colors.  See thru available!

"Nice circuit board bro." - some guy probably

Screen and Digitizer

Screen and Digitizer

Change the color of the digitizer lens and improve the screen quality/brightness at the same time.  Technology... improved!

Detailed Images of a Modded Switch Lite

This menu can be populated with whatever software packages you have

Above: This switch is busy creating a copy of the Official Switch Firmware onto a 150mb/s microsd.  Once this is done, the switch will have two entire operating systems, one still locked down tight (OFW), and one wide open for experimentation (CFW).

Above: The back of the Switch Lite with the Picofly RP2040 mod installed.  Loading the Pi with the Hekate, Atmosphere, Tincup, and Sigpatches finalizes the installation.

Above: The FPC cable enjoys clever routing and easy to identify solder pads.  Here it is nestled under the heatpipe for the APU, stuck down to the board close enough to not cause any interference.  Ideal mod location on the Switch Lite!

Above: The vertical support steel often shorts out components on the Raspberry Pi board due to physics existing. Two layers of kapton tape are used under the steel to prevent it from contacting any components on the Pi.
