How to Use your modded Switch

Boot Menu Choices

When you first power on your console, you'll be presented with the Hekate menu system, which lets you launch any "payload" you want.

CFW "payload" has it's own menu, and 99% of users will choose to launch CFW emuMMC from the dedcated CFW button, 99% of the time.

Loading Games

In Atmosphere, choose the Album menu to see the Homebrew menu.

Most users use CyberFoil or translate DBI with their phone to install *.NSP and *.XCI files.

These two files are the common way of distributing homebrew. Each have a different "concept" but both are supported by CyberFoil and DBI for installs.

The most recommended way to install homebrew is by starting an MTP connection in CyberFoil or DBI then copy/pasting the *.XCI or *.NSP files into the appropriate folder that appears in your file manager.  These apps are commonly used due to built-in 4GB file limit handling on FAT32 formatted microSD cards (btw, it's VERY recommended to use FAT32, all our modded consoles use FAT32)

Online

In most cases, you will not be communicating online with other players or even with official servers, this is by default and changing this is not recommended. Do not expect to play new multiplayer games on CFW.

You may have to run apps in "Full Access Mode" instead of "Applet mode"

Several homebrew apps require you to run them in a special full memory mode.  You simply run a game but press the R trigger the entire time it's launching, even while choosing your user.

The HB menu should appear and now any app you launch from here can take full allocation of RAM, GPU and CPU time.
